Dear Donald:

	Here is the situation with my papers.  The one on
circumscription is published in the AI Journal and as a Stanford
AI Memo.  There is no real reason to publish it again.  However,
I already have a certain amount of supplementary material, but
I suppose that for reasons of continuity, I should publish that
also in the AI Journal.  I have some new ideas on a declarative
language for AI, but I don't know when they will come to fruition.
I certainly can't commit myself now.

	I will, however, be teaching epistemological problems
of AI next winter, and I will have to prepare additional
teaching materials by then.  Some of it would probably be
suitable and available in time for the Workshop itself but
not for a volume published previously.

	Sorry our plans don't mesh better.
